Abstract

During the Corona Pandemic, like all over the world, Bangladesh has also witnessed a challenging situation. People are seriously affected by many sides in enjoying all sorts of rights incredibly, the right to life, legal protection, access to justice and fair trial. People’s right to health is now beyond description due to poor management of the health sector. Under these contexts, the paper is conducted to determine the state of fundamental rights, special reference to the right to life, legal protection, access to justice, and fair trial in the Corona pandemic, and lastly to suggest some measures for ensuring such rights of the citizens of Bangladesh. In the study, it reveals that despite taking many measurements, issuing many orders and guidelines, peoples’ fundamental rights, special reference to access to justice and fair trial, legal protection and right to life, are hampered in absence of appropriate management, lack of efficient and comprehensive laws, relaxation in implementation of existing laws, orders and absence of justice and the rule of law, etc.
